Mindfulness meditation is a powerful tool for cultivating peace of mind and present moment awareness. It is a path to embodiment, healing, and awakening to oneness with all life. Mindfulness is easy to learn. If you can count and breathe, you can learn to meditate.

In my work as a mindfulness meditation guide and teacher, I share practices that help clients cultivate freedom from afflictive emotions and unproductive mental habits. A typical session will include time for learning new tools and practicing them. When appropriate, I may suggest integrating Qigong and/or energy healing into a session. My process is holistic and intuitively guided with each session tailored to your needs.

I bring three decades of mindfulness practice to my work, including three years of residential training in Zen Buddhism. I offer mindfulness-based coaching and teach mindfulness meditation and “integral life practice” at DePaul University.

Nancy Floy
I am the founder and director of Heartwood Center for Body Mind Spirit and founder of the Heartwood Cancer Program. My vision, more than 20 years ago, was to create a refuge and sanctuary where people of all walks of life could come together in community to learn and grow and heal.  I have been practicing Asian Medicine for nearly 30 years and bring experience with both acupuncture and energy healing as well as mindfulness meditation.  Treatment sessions include time for the patient to speak about what is causing their suffering and allowing the treatment strategy to arise organically.  A session includes bodywork for relaxation, acupuncture to delve deeper into clearing and balancing the channels and guided meditation to soothe and settle the mind consciousness.  I am trained in Tibetan, Japanese and Chinese Medicine and seamlessly weave these beautiful modalities together to provide a path out of the suffering that comes with being human.  To schedule a treatment session call or text:  847-491-9858 email: nancyfloy@heartwoodcenter.com

Being still and centering with mindfulness opens up our wisdom and deepens our connection to ourselves, our lives, and all that is around us. Adding self-compassion fills your cup so the kindness within you is liberated.
I offer group classes in meditation and self-compassion, as well as one-on-one guidance options. My practices center on breath, body, thoughts, emotions, kindness, compassion, pain, fear, forgiveness, and more.
I hold the two-year mindfulness meditation teacher certification from Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, and was trained by The Center for Mindful Self-Compassion.
As an Indian woman who immigrated to the U.S. in my youth, and has lived in three different countries, I am very conscientious of diversity, equity, and a multicultural focus. I am passionate about helping people cultivate practices that support them in achieving a higher self-awareness, leading them on a road to happiness.
