Jacoba MontunaI’m from the mountains of the native lands of Borikén (PR), currently love living, paddling rivers, talking to dogs, and gardening in Skokie, IL. Beyond credentials, I’m also a 3rd generation Santigüadora (traditional healer), a Reiki, Thanatology, and Somatics partner in health-practitioner centering on Companionship’s importance.
I specialize in trauma-informed care creating safe healing spaces for communities around their sexual and reproductive health, natural gynecology, fertility, womb/pelvic care, transitions of life, traditional prenatal, cuarentena, and postpartum care, sexual trauma experiences, FGM/refugee post-traumas, reproductive/fertility loss, and pregnancy loss (miscarriages and stillbirths) journeys, and have +20 years of experience in the field.
I’m passionate about community health education, and I do so by respecting and preserving our communities’ innate cultural healing practices within an evidence-based approach balancing the Midwife Care Model and the Ancestral Comadronas-Santigüadoras practice. I’m a native Spanish speaker and can also work in French and Moroccan-Arabic.

Juanita Ahuehuetzin MontoyaI graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2020 and have since then provided bodywork for women in their reproductive journeys. I specialize in body balancing and Breech Release. I’m also a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), certified by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and qualified to provide the Midwives Model of Care. I have over 10 years of experience providing bodywork, labor and birth support to families across IL and WI. My work is informed by my dedication and commitment to continuous learning. I hold a BA in Cultural Anthropologist, LMT, traditional sobadora/bodyworker, Certified Parent Educator for Spinning Babies, Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner/Breech Balancing, Childbirth Educator, Yoni Steam Facilitator, and craniosacral therapist. My work is always reflective of the individual needs of each client.
