Can We Talk About Race in the 21st Century?
“The Relationship Between Blacks and Whites in North America”
This seminar focuses on the historical factors of racism in America and the institution of “White Supremacy” as it relates to the inequality, injustice, disenfranchisement, and generational wealth gaps of African-Americans in North America. The facilitator’s objective is to provide a starting point to engage the audience in a real live discussion and to begin the conversation of “Atonement” between Whites and Blacks relating to socioeconomics, politics, education system, mass incarceration, and mental health. To catalyst perhaps a new perspective regarding the Who, When, what, Where, and Why are we still struggling with progress with equality leveling the playing grounds of the “American Dream” for the Emancipated enslaved African- Americans. We all can agree that freedom is for every human being no matter a person’s race, creed, color, religion, and/or sex. However, we can no longer ignore the elephant in the room and the unspoken tragedies of our country’s history. Which unfortunately are our current-day realities. We must understand and reflect now on the “New Age” in this “New World” to ensure this horrific event never occurs amongst the civilized humane societies of our Planet “Earth” ever again. Moving forward!
