September 12, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until November 21, 2019
Chi Gong, sometimes called the mother of Tai Chi, is a form of exercise and moving meditation invented thousands of years ago in China to strengthen the body, calm the mind, and encourage the free flow of the life force. Chi Gong may help with depression, mental focus, sense of balance, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, and lack of energy. Properly done, Chi Gong is calming to the nervous system, and is an excellent tool for stress management.
Eight Pieces of Brocade, or Ba Duan Jin, is a form of medical Chi Gong that originated in China some 5,000 years ago. It truly represents the wisdom of the ancients! Its powerful, flowing, calming movements bring together body, breath, and mind. It stresses deep, slow breathing, controlled stretching, and specific movements that stimulate acupuncture meridians and benefit the internal organs. Come join us!

Hello and be well! My name is Michelle Bobier. I have been studying Tai Chi and Chi Gong for 24 years with Master Hongchao Zhang, one of the leading Chinese martial arts masters in America; Master Zhang awarded me a Sixth Duan in Chi Gong in 2015. Additionally, I am a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist who completed the 700-hour BCST training at 3rd Coast Craniosacral of Evanston. Additionally, I studied lymphatic work at the School of Inner health in Manitou Springs, Colorado. The three modalities come together in my wellness practice, reSource Wellness, in Wilmette. My mission is to create a space where people can feel a sense of safety, peace, comfort and support; tap into their resources for healing; and achieve deep rest that can lead to profound change. If you would like information about Chi Gong, craniosacral, or lymphatic work, please feel free to visit my website, below.
