Winter Warm-Up Chi Gong

Energize for Winter with Winter Warm-Up Chi Gong!

Once the excitement, gifts, parties, and fun of the winter holidays have passed, we are left to deal with just plain winter! In Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter is associated with the kidney system – one of the body’s most important systems. Chi Gong masters through the ages have created special Chi Gong forms to help nourish Chi – the life force – build kidney energy, and help us get through winter in a healthy, energetic state.

img_4993Come study Winter Warm-Up Chi Gong to help you relax, rebuild, recharge, nourish your health, and look toward Spring! The form is warming and moderately challenging, but can be easily adapted to various levels of fitness. Beginners welcome!

Chi Gong — the mother of Tai Chi — is an ancient Chinese form of exercise and moving meditation that strengthens the body, calms the mind, and encourages the free flow of the life force. Chi Gong may help with high blood pressure, sense of balance, depression, mental focus, stress management, lack of energy, and sleep problems.

Michelle Bobier

Hello and be well!  My name is Michelle Bobier.  I have been studying Tai Chi and Chi Gong for 24 years with Master Hongchao Zhang, one of the leading Chinese martial arts masters in America; Master Zhang awarded me a Sixth Duan in Chi Gong in 2015.  Additionally, I am a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist who completed the 700-hour BCST training at 3rd Coast Craniosacral of Evanston.  Additionally, I studied lymphatic work at the School of Inner health in Manitou Springs, Colorado.  The three modalities come together in my wellness practice, reSource Wellness, in Wilmette.  My mission is to create a space where people can feel a sense of safety, peace, comfort and support; tap into their resources for healing; and achieve deep rest that can lead to profound change.  If you would like information about Chi Gong, craniosacral, or lymphatic work, please feel free to visit my website, below.
