Come explore the depths of Mindfulness Meditation and begin to experience the ways that these ancient techniques can be a pathway out of our suffering. This class begins with a gentle guided meditation to increase mindfulness of our bodies and then moves into Shamatha meditation which is the practice of calm abiding, with plenty of instruction given in each class. We then move into our study time with our current text being Words of My Perfect Teacher by Patrul Rinpoche. This text is one of the jewels of Tibetan Buddhism and in this class we take time to discuss the text from the perspective of how the material relates to our present lives.
