We send you warm wishes this holiday season and we welcome you to join us in our excitement and joy as we begin celebrating 20 years of service to our community.  We would not be here if not for your participation in the Heartwood community and for this we are deeply grateful.   In 1999, a group of 12 holistic healthcare providers came together at 1599 Maple, across from Benisons Bakery in Evanston, with the shared vision to offer a safe and compassionate place for people to come and heal.  We wanted to offer a refuge for people suffering and to offer concrete ways for people to come to understand their suffering.  We began with acupuncture, bodywork, psychotherapy and tai chi and yoga.  Those early days were filled with so much laughter and love as we began to envision what the Heartwood healing community could be…
