The last two years have caused a lot of us to reevaluate what’s important in our life and question how to find our purpose. The I Ching or Book of Changes, with it’s roots in Confucian and Daoist philosophy, is a great way to access your inner wisdom, answer questions you are struggling with and find direction in your life.
Developed over 3,000 years ago, the I Ching is the basis for Chinese medicine and Feng Shui. It explores the fundamental question of how to understand the laws of change and impermanence and live in harmony with them instead of fighting against them. Used in conjunction with meditation, the I Ching is an insightful guide to access your inner wisdom when you have questions about what do in your life. Questions like: How can I be my best self in any situation? How can I stay calm and focused when things are stressful? How do I handle a tough conversation with my partner or co-worker? How do I find a fulfilling career?
You consult the IChing by throwing coins, yarrow sticks or drawing I Ching cards. You form a question and contemplate the answer you receive, so that you can adopt the wisdom of the IChing into your everyday life.
Join us for a virtual talk and guided mediation with Catherine Pilfrey, author and creator of the Modern I Ching Oracle Card Deck as we explore this timeless wisdom in navigating change in your life.
Catherine Pilfrey has been consulting the I Ching for the past 30 years using it to find guidance and clarity in her life.
