The workshop, based on ‘Focusing in Clinical Practice’, will help you show clients the wisdom and healing that resides inside their own lived experiencing. Based on over 60 years of research and clinical work, Focusing therapy offers clients ways of working with the bodily felt sense for emotional transformation, healing from trauma, depression, anxiety and other issues. Consultation group options to follow the training.
What Peter Levine PHD says about “Focusing in Clinical Practice” by Ann W. Cornell.
“.. Eugene Gendlin’s landmark book, Focusing, was first published in 1978. In her thorough, illuminating book, Focusing in Clinical Practice, Ann Weiser Cornell clearly outlines the essence of change, explaining how it emerges from the client’s relationship with his or her living–sensing body. She demonstrates, step by step, just how these innate transformative moments occur and how we can guide our clients in that direction. It is ‘magic’ made simple, pure and simple.” — Peter A. Levine, PhD, author of Somatic Experiencing.
Marsha Smith, LCSW, has been a person-centered therapist for 25 years and is a certified body-oriented, Focusing Therapy Trainer with the International Focusing Institute.
